Application for Polkadot Technical Fellowship – Rank 0 Induction
### **A. Introduction**
Hello Polkadot Fellowship community,
My name is Sarthi, and I’m a developer advocate and builder actively working in the Web3 ecosystem. I’ve spent the past two years contributing to DeFi, GameFi, and infrastructure projects across Ethereum, Solana, Aptos, TON, and Algorand. My journey includes hands-on work with dApps, developer tooling, and user-centric protocols, always with an eye on modular and scalable architecture.
I've been an active participant at ETHGlobal hackathons, Solana Hacker Houses, and community-led dev events across Europe and India. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the importance of multichain coordination, strong governance, and decentralization—all of which are core to the Polkadot vision.
Joining the Polkadot Fellowship represents a natural next step in my growth as I wish to contribute to Polkadot’s technical foundations while learning from and collaborating with like-minded builders.
### **B. Alignment with Fellowship Tenets**
I affirm my full alignment with the Polkadot Fellowship’s guiding principles:
Uphold Polkadot’s interests: I commit to protecting and advancing the integrity and future of the Polkadot ecosystem.
Respect Polkadot’s philosophy: I support the principles of decentralization, cross-chain interoperability, and community-driven development.
Adhere to Fellowship norms: I will actively engage in discussions, respect internal governance, and follow operational and voting guidelines in good faith.
Foster community collaboration: I believe in open knowledge-sharing, mutual support, and working transparently and constructively with others.
### **C. Evidence of Contribution**
I am not yet a contributor to the Polkadot/Kusama codebase but I bring the following as my current body of work and experience:
Attendee and builder at multiple ETHGlobal hackathons and Solana Hacker Houses, where I’ve built user-facing DeFi and tooling projects.
Developer advocate helping onboard and support developers in open-source communities through workshops, hackathons, and technical content.
Consistent participation and documentation of my work and learnings via [Twitter](https://x.com/sarthib7) and [Linktree](Lintr.ee/sarthi7).
These contributions reflect a builder mindset with a focus on education, community, and protocol design—values that I will bring into the Polkadot Fellowship as well.
### **D. Rank Justification**
I am applying for Rank 0 as an entry-level contributor. While I am not yet experienced with FRAME or runtime development, I am ready to invest the time and effort to learn, contribute, and grow within the Fellowship.
I bring:
A solid engineering background.
Real-world experience with dApp development and UX optimization.
An eagerness to collaborate and help build the future of Polkadot.
### **E. Future Plans**
If inducted, I plan to:
Learn the internals of Polkadot’s runtime and start contributing to issues and modules where I can add value.
Participate in technical discussions and governance dialogues in Matrix and Polkassembly.
Translate my learnings into community content—helping developers onboard into the Polkadot ecosystem with clear documentation and guides.
Support ecosystem growth through developer outreach, workshops, and cross-community collaboration.
